This high-profile project involved the comprehensive mechanical demolition of the former Sheraton Cleveland Airport Hotel, an eight-story commercial structure, as part of the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport's multi-billion dollar Terminal Modernization Development Program (TMDP). The work required precise and safe dismantlement using heavy equipment (excavators with specialized attachments) due to the building's height and close proximity to an active international airport. The scope included the demolition of the building's concrete and steel framework and complete site clearing to make way for future airport infrastructure, specifically to accommodate interim surface parking and long-term expansion.
